my 98 a4 headlights wont turn on only the high beams will if you hold the switch back. i did a search and thought that i might try to change the switch.. my question is where is it and does anyone know how to get at it and replace it. also if their any other things that could be wrong instead of the switch not including the fuses, i checked them and they are good. thanks

 

The switch is right next to the turn signal switch. If memory servers me correct it comes together with the turn signal switch. You have to remove the airbag, steering wheel, and clockspring to replace it.

 

have you checked the low beam bulbs ?

 

Before you remove the switch, assuming that the bulbs are good, try some TV tuner cleaner from Radio shack in the switch. It may just be dirt.
