i have a 96 a4 q does anyone know how to remove the headlight switch or how to access it?

you have to remove teh steering wheel

 

Which isnt as hard as it may seem. You need a t30 torx to remove the 4 bolts that hold on the airbag. The disconnect the wires from the airbag and set it aside face up. Youll need a size 12 tripple square to remove the bolt that holds on the steering wheel. Mark the wheel so that you can put it on in the same place. From there a phillips screwdriver and an allen socket will remove the steering colum trim and youll have full acces to the switch assembly.

 

Any idea where to get this socket attachment?
