If this subject and or post is some where else I apologize for not being able to find it.
Problem:
1991 A4 4 cylinder
Daughter went to put on her headlights - nothing
Tried her high beams - nothing
She has parking and running lights and can flash the high beams off and on.

Steps taken to resolve:
Installed new low beam fuses and then used the tester I had just purchased. Fuses tested perfect. Go figure
Tested the remaining fuses and they all tested fine

Then went to PEP Boys for new headlights to be installed, still no lights. Go figure

Does anybody have any thoughts, suggestion, anything? It seems like my next step is to take the car to a repair center but I would like to be able to narrow it down before they pillage me.

 

if you put it in light on position,lightly pull and push the handle,if lights momentarily turn on,it's the switch,if they don't,it's the relay.
