Hey i was just wondering if anyone had there heated seat fixed by anyone but the dealer and how much it cost and were they satisfied. Also has anyone just ordered a new heating element and if so how hard was it to install? thanks

Rock out a search. I know someone just talked about this. And yes... there was simple instructions on how to replace the heating core yourself. It's a b!tch and a half. I would find out how much it costs throught the stealership first.

replacing the heating elements isnt all that difficult of a task, if you have an upholstrey experience then you will be fine.. just gotta carefully remove the skin of the seat bottom.. then remove the elements.. and put the new ones on. the re attach the upholstrey

Is the heating element in 2 sections? I've got to ask the Audi service manager a couple of ? later, i'll ask.

youd have 2 scroll toggles in the center console by the shifter with 1-6. and they would have an image of a seat on it

ps you'd only have it if your car has the cold weather package (which also comes with a ski sack)

I dunno.. But the likely response from an audi tech manager is "only way we can find out is by taking a look" so thanks in advance if you find anything out, id be surprised if you get anywhere whithout paying for something first.
