When you're braking hard, and you want to keep your gears inline with your speed, you hold the brake with your toe, and hit the gas with your heel, so you can downshift while braking. I can't do this method, as my shoe size is 14, so I made my own method... Half Foot. I hold the brake with half of my foot, and hit the gas with the other half. Same princible, and works just as good.

Either way takes practice, but once you get it, it makes driving so much easier.

Hitting the brake and the gas at the same time, is VERY bad... If the clutch isn't engaged.

When you're hitting the gas, you're rev matching, right when you hit the gas, you hit the clutch as well, I should have clarified that.

i heal toe all the time its a lot smoother and a lot of people don't relize my car is even stick, i didn't read zed ex's comments due to too much reading in school today ... but you put the ball off your foot ... wait hold up i got a link... here :

http://www.driftsession.com/drift_te...oeshifting.htm

explains it faily well ^^^

i only use the sides on my right foot tho because frankly putting ur heal all the way to the gas is HARD to flex that far , anyone who does this is crazy or has some crazy flexability... but either way you do it the result is the same if you can master it , when i was learning i saw it on a drifting video haha and me being mr.stud i tryed it and jabbed the brakes kinda hard a few times but im teaching my friends and im pretty much pro at this now and few of my friends r too

yea..the only thing with the modified hell-toeing is that if you do that on a track pushing high speeeds (>100) you have a big posisbility of slipping off the pedals, and that wouldnt be good...at all..but on the road its ok... and yea...its really hard to torque ur foot like that...
