I think its likea"testing cars", cuzI got mine with rear heated seat, ultrasport interior, tip swiches on steering wheel, sports package. Basicly the things that i dont usuallysee in other B6's. like my friends he got b6 sport w/out rear heated seats or tip switches, and interior is just gray simple

Yeah I have rear heated seats too, Car has everything but navigation. You might want to check the fuse for the heated seats first before taking the seats out. In mine the driver warms up really fast passenger slightly slower and the back seats are barelly noticiable until the front ones are warm! I do not know if they might be timed etc. but I would check the fuses first while you are in there check them all.

also dont wait till the timing belt goes that is a really bad idea! You mentioned audi will fix it if its broken but if it breaks you will have more problems a lot more problems than just a bad timing belt. Good luck!

Odd that that car has heated rear seats then. That's only an option on the V6 cars.
Interesting, becuase I have an '02 1.8t with heated seats
Me too, front and rear. Winter package I think. Guy that sold it to me said was only year they had rear heated seats (but that was a while back and I don't really think it's true).

Does the timing belt look like it needs changing? cracks on the sides, powder debris? If so change that out ASAP, and don't wait for it to break because thats just a stupid idea. As for the rear heated seats, I didn't even know you could get them for an 02 1.8T.. anyways check the fuses, if it's not that then it's the electrical wiring.

My `02 1.8T has heated front and rear leather (leather'ish?) seats.

Update...the seats were unplugged...mystery how that happened??? Leak in one of the turbo hoses, on order. Sepintine belt looks original so that tells me the T-belt is original. I plan on replacing it (immediatly) myself (& water pump) since my daughter Kelsey is interested in learning how. Great car/find to update and/or tune over the coming years...Dad will have a difficult time not interfering...hopefully I can get her into some shifter carts to learn what the A4 is capable of...

Dolphin grey with ultrasport grey leatherette; chrome package; tip switches; bose; full heated seats with cold weather package but no ski bag; no sports package; 15" wheels - got to go! Nice that the cargo net, unused spare& 1st aid kit; all keys & manual came with the car...89 K miles, Audi Certified, complete records, carfax clean 2-owner, @ $10,200. Exterior has some rock chips, 3 small door dings, 1 visable scratch, new windshield; interior excellent- couple of small marks on shifter chrome (replaced); all switches black; display pixels all work (replaced)...best condition A4 I've seen by a daily driver - non-enthusiast owner. Really like the dual independant fog light switch.

thanks to all who have put this forum together & updated...we are sure to use it often and will contribute what we can/learn...
