Default Help...

Hey guys-

I have the stock chip in right now, I put it in yesterday. I was driving home from work today when I realized that it was only boosting to exactly 4psi. I've heard of limp mode before, so I did a little research and checked for stored DTC's. There was one stored, a 'throttle actuator servo low voltage'. I thought that was pretty wierd, so I cleared it and went out... still limp. I unplugged the battery for 15 minutes, plugged it back on, went out... still limp. Coincidentally, my windows suddenly stopped doing the one-touch down thing today. Odd, right?

I have heard unplugging the MAF, and checking the n75 valve... any other suggestions?

And another question, if i put the k04 and chip in next week, will it still be a problem?

Thanks.

i tested the n75. 23 ohms, and i put 12V to the solenoid and it clicked.

Any other ideas? ... please?

What was the actual code? Also, the one-touch is normal to stop working after disconnecting the battery, it has to re-learn the feature.

I was under the same impression because AEB is nDBW, but I've heard that it does have something to limit boost, maybe the N75. I'm pretty sure that he is not in limp mode though, because disconnecting the battery should have cleared that.

thanks for the responses.

i agree, i can't put the k04 in til i fix this problem

if it throws the code again tomorrow, i'll post it up. meantime, it's not the n75 valve solenoid, so am i correct in assuming that it's either one of three things...

1) not enough voltage to the n75 due to a faulty wire
2) stuck wastegate
3) boost leak

It shouldnt be a coil or icm thing, cause i haven't gotten any misfire codes, right? and i'm pretty sure it's not the maf, because i get a pretty reasonable reading off it from my palm software.

Anybody have any other advice? it's greatly appreciated

I would concentrate on the code first. I think that is what's causing your problem. Just a guess, but was it 18533 P2101 or 16506 P0122?
