HELP PLEASE!!!
Sounds like a bad solder job. Why do you have 2 ECU's anyway? Are you sure the chipped ECU you have is the correct part # for your car? There should be a long part # on each ecu. They should both have the same letter at the end of the #. Like P, or Q, or M. Where did you get this chipped ECU?
well i got this chip from a guy on here and he has the same car but an automatic and he said it was chipped for a manual so it wouldnt work for his car so he sold it to me but the new ECU is the same but ends in P and my one i have in now has a N i think....
what if it is different? just wont work?

Im not 100% sure, but I believe that the last letter in the ecu # should be the same, and Ive read too many conflicting stories of wether or not a manual ecu will work in an Automatic, and wether or not it can be recoded to work either way. Definately call APR though.
rickyracer
and he has an automatic but it was programmed for a manual..whcih i have...so it hsould work....but the ECU thing may be a problem
and i called APR and they were absolutely no help..he just wanted to knwo who soldered it in and stuff and i dont know!!?!?! and dont think its a big deal..but im not sure..and it came with a switch but didnt come in the mail yet..he ordered a new one and is having it shipped to my house..

So you bought a used stock (unchipped) ECU from rickyracer and then you shipped it to APR to get chipped correct? Why would APR want to know who soldered the chip in if they did it themselves?? Im a little confused. Start from the begining and dont leave out any details.
haha sorry...ok so i put in the wanted section that i want a chipped ECU so he PMed me and said he had one he had chipped for hsi car but they put the wrong chip in and it was for a manual not an automatic so it didnt work on his car so he sold it to me...already chipped...and i got it and the switch he had went bad or something so he bought a new one from APR and is having it sent to me...and i opened up the ECU and it has a chip doesnt say APR but im guessing thats wat it is...and it has hte switch wire coming off of it...
