help, car is shivering
i just purchased a used A4 1.8T quattro. Car has about 36,000 miles on it. The car seems to tremble, moderately but noticeably, in nuetral when cold. (Its not a vacuum hose, I just replaced it.) Car quiets down (tho not completely) after it has warmed up a bit. I'd be grateful if anyone had any suggestions about what might be causing the shakes. Thanks.
no. the exhaust seems to sputter rapidly at first, and the steering wheel trembles (because the car is trembling). That's all I notice. After about ten mins of driving it settles down a bit, tho not completely.
I bought the car used from an audi dealer a month or so ago. It is a certified used car, so I assume things were changed when hey shd have been. I suppose I may be giving them too much credit tho. What's VAGCOM?
vag com is a diagnostic cable used to scan the computer modules in the car for fault codes. Highly recommended if you play on doing any of your own maintanance.

Ummmm, if you bought your car certified from an Audi dealer, it probably has an extended warranty of some sort.
Take it back to them for them to find out what the problem is and fix it. Afterall that is why you bought the car certified.

I will. I had asked because the car just last week came back from service. They had insatalled a new vacuum hose. So I thought they would have caught whatever this is as well. I'm just trying to educate myself a bit on the problem before I go back there. I didn't know if what I'm seeing is a common problem or not. Anyway, I guess I'll go back and see what they say. Thanks.
