what is the stock thermostat rating on 01 audi a4 b5 1.8t ie 190, 160, ....?

I think I replaced mine with a 87 C thermostat when I did mine. That makes it a 188.6 F.

According to my books, stock is 190.

You meant 87C = 188.6F .

did ur car seem to run cooler at all. bc ive seen the 180 F for the car. also where is the housing located on the engine?
