this is a sales objective mate I have nothing to do with that tool but I thought it would be helpful and cheap, dos your dads clear all system codes air bags/ abs/ auto tranny/ CEL light ?? take a look before you make a statement, im only here to help not make any money or statement

I only need 2 wires to switch any warning light off but I wont tell anyone because of safety reasons

i appreciate all your help avant i really do, but i just want to know is if adapter and software(ihave a better and different vers. already) thing i ordered going to mess up my ecu like the other guy said. all i want are the error codes. will what i ordered do the job?

it should be ok because the system has a fail safe built in to prevent damage, the software you get for free is very limited and a licence fee is required that's why I posted an option even though its very basic by comparison to VAG but its a cheap option and it works

thank you again for your help. like i said i have good software, im not gonna use the limited on that they send me. but i just wanted to know if anything bad was going to happen to the ecu thats all. thanks

the system will protect its self and blow your software first which is also protected by feed back ( backward protection its called )

well i took my car to a friend who is a mechanice, i did not have it scanned because he knew right away what it was. boom, misfire on cylinder 2. so we did some troubleshooting, swapped the coils, coils are good, swapped the sparks, they are good, seems that the ecu is not sending a signal to the coil or the wires to the coil are fucked up. any body have this experience before?
