Default HELP decide

Ok gentlemen. I am thinking about tradeing my 2001 GTi 1.8t for a 97-98 A4 1.8t Q? Now tell me about this idea and the one car is and automatic. Which I admit I like a 5sp better, but the car is the most awsome Red color. So any advice on what to look for in the car before I try trade? I mean what to lkeep eye on. He said the Turbo was just changed. He also has a S4 with new head gaskets, to far out my price range. unless he woild trade even(NOT). Well give me some advice.please Thanks Mike

leave the S4 alone ( why has it had a new head gasket?? ) and did they solve the problem?,

golf GTI is a performer but lacking space interior wise where as the A4 is better interior wise because it has 4 doors ( performance wise the GTI turbo is quicker because its lighter and top end is the same because basically they are the same car, now your onto a winner because you want 4x4 AWD and this is the difference but its at a cost £££$$$ because they are heavier on fuel consumption and parts are expensive, now its your choice at the end of the day
