Default help finding a exhaust I HAVE LOOKED but can't find

Ok everyone. I have a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro. With the tiptronic transmission. I found a Borla exhaust for $615.00 plus $117.20 for shipping. I would like tp have more than option when buying my exhaust. I was willing to pay the 6 but I am not sure about the 750. I have found that alot of them say this exhaust is for manual transmissions only. Or this will only work with automatic transmissions. The Borla it the only one that says tip. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Come on guys. help me out. There has to be a site that carries another brand of exhaust to compare. Can I use a exhaust made for a automatic? How about one for a manual transmission?

I hear that the downpipe needs to be different for the tiptronic b/c the hole it lives in is different.

Milltek: http://www.stratmosphere.com/milltek_a4_catback.htm
The automatic exhaust is $899 and comes w/o a downpipe.

This is the only one I could find that is for an auto. Other than that, just look for one that doesn't come with a dp.

Don't forget that it still needs to be installed. You might be better off going with a custom setup from a local shop.

So, can I get a exhaust made for a manual and just scrap the DP and have the muffler shop fab one up? Or am still going to have one made for the automatic transmission

Does anyone know if this cat is worth it? Here is the info on it:
Techtonics Tuning Passat, Audi A4 Cat Converter
251 167T
Replacement Catalytic converter for All Passat and Audi A4 1.8T cars from 99 to 05.

Web Price:$285.00 (Excluding: VT Resident State Sales Tax at 6%)

I am not sure if it is HF or not. I would assume that it flows a little better than stock, but I don't know.

The other cat that I am looking at is a Random Technologies HF cat. Here is the info on it:
Random Technology Catalytic Converter A4 97-04 1.8L Turbo

Details

Weight
30.00 lbs

Mfr. Part#
141-25016

Price:
$ 333.38

They also sell a install kit for it for 15.59.

I don't know if I am going to be attempting the install myself or taking it to a muffler shop and let them mess with it. Why do the two look so different? Is one of them a stock photo? Which one is better?

I am also unsure if I should replace the O2 sensor while I am at it. I have never replaced a O2 sensor. How difficult is it? And how hard is it to replace the cat. I have ordered a VAG COM am expecting it shortly but that is an entirely different beast. Expect a seperate post on this latter

Yeah, you should be able to find and exhuast that uses the stock dp (obviously not catback) and just hook it up.

I doubt it. Does your state have emissions testing? If not, get a testpipe. If it does, get one anyway and use the non-fouler mod.

Can you provide any more info on this or direct me to where I can get more info. Yes my county has emissions, however the counties north of me don't.

Anyone? Are these cats any good? I know that there are better cats, but I am not going to pay 300 plus dollars for a great one. And can someone give me more info on the non-fouler mod?
