Unless they are SS-do not buy them!

found control arms "fop" or someshiot... guy promised me they would fit my s-line and they have "upgraded" balljoints. I havent found any struts yet, haven't really looked too hard.

just ordered vast piggies, 710n valves, snub mount, and the control arms kit (13 peice)...that should cover a few things. I have a heinous creeking noise coming from my front driver wheel...been getting louder. I thought it was the calipers cause it started only when I hit the brakes, but now it does it when I turn and accel too...figured ball joints r wrecked.

if you guys think of anything else I should be doing then let me know... just passing 114k...already went through the engine (belts, tensioner and such) I wanted to get the hotchkis bars too...worth it?

The FCP Grotan full control arm kit for around $230 is a good one. Several A4 guys have them including me with positive experiences so far. Looks like I'm too late, though.

yeah it was like $359 for the 13 pcs...forget if it includes the sway links or not. Tryed blauparts first of course since I like their service and experience with audi, but he talked to his tech and said that the s_line could not use steel arms because they were diff lengths on the straight lower arms, but then he called back a few hours later after doing to research and found the part numbers to match somehow. I had already purchased the other kits with alum arms anyways, but nice of them to do that.

The FCP Groton el-cheapo control arm kit is a waste of money. Get one of the more expensive name brand kits, even if from FCP Groton. And watch the "upgraded ball joints" as they didn't fit my car!

I find it interesting you are even finding steel arms. It was my belief that they were cast aluminum. I know they certainly arent very hard, they can be damaged with a small hammer
