okay so this what happened ... my car been in the mecanic for about 1 week alredy because i had no CEL on my dash .. and my catalic converter and my o2 sensor was fcked up ..... so the mecanic took about 4 days to fix the CEL and the today i was at my girlfriends house and i came home and when i got home my dad told me that the mecanic called and said that theres something wrong with my car and to fix it the part will be 2,000 ..... now i dont know what kinda of fkuin part it is yet because my dad told me he didnt tell me yet ... but i told my dad i rather buuy a new engine then pay 2g for a new part .... when we did the vag the codes came up .. the catalic converter...o2 sensor and something was liking ... other than that my motor was good .. my transmition was good .. so any1 have any idea what kind of part that could be ... my car is a 97 1.8TQ with 109K .. please guys HELP .... o by the way is there anyway i can run my car without my catalic converter ... like not have them at all ??

 

did u change ur timing belt yet bc its about time at 100000k

 

yes ... the owner i bought the car from changed it at 75k ..... and the problem was my car was dieing after like 30 seconds after being turned on .... it said something about the air not goin through dont really know but even if its the timing belt you think its 2g ??

get a aftermarket cat...$60 on ebay or a "test" pipe...is just a freaking pipe and u will fail inspection dependig on ur state...but u'll go faster

 

yeah i live in MA Boston so i will fail but i know ppl that will pass me so i dnt give a **** so im just goin to tell him to put a aftermarket cat....
