I am stuck on step 5....the headlight harness connection. My kit came with the two metal spade connectors and I am not getting the part where the instructions say "you can slide the rongs into the female slot, or simply plice the wires and attach them together". What headlight harness am I supposed to be plugging these into?

I have a 98.5, but I bought the xenon ready one piece ecodes from ecstuning. I also bought the wiring harness to adapt the plugs. It is the D2S kit.

All the other lights work...except for the most important ones...the xenon ones. The high beams work, the blinkers work and when I turn on the headlights, all I get is a solid orange side light.

please help.

 

You need to connect one of the original low beam wires to the harness so it knows when the low beams are on (I'm guessing thats step five, I threw out my instructions a long time ago)

 

ok....so let's say the low beam wire was the "orange wire". I should splice into the orange wire with BOTH fo the metal spades and connect them just like that?

ok, I just dug up some instructions. So far, we've established that you need to connect the low beam wire to the relay harness. On mine, I forget which color the low beam wire was (either white black or yellow, i think). Also, it should just plug right into the spade connector on the harness (which was a teal-ish color on mine).

 

Here is a pic of the connector. Its actually a brown/yellow set that gets plugged in.

Thanks for the help. It was the white to the brown yellow and the black to the brown
