There is no way I could have installed the sensor backwards. I really think that my sensor is shot.... and a new sensor is $300, ECS has refurbs for $150. I think that is it tho, ive checked all connections, and even put some contact cleaner on the connections.

Which thread do you want deleted?

Yes, there is a way you could have installed the sensor backwards. People have done it before and had cranks but doesnt start. The arrow on the side of the MAF should be pointing towards the intake piping, not the filter. Is it?

Can I get the other thread deleted? Thanks
I didnt even take my MAF off K&N uses the stock MAF the only thing I did was unplugg the sensor to pull the air box out.

Sorry, I forgot you have a 2.8, there is only one way the MAF can be installed. Try to get a ride to autozone or wherever and they can lend you a obd2 scanner. Check for fault codes. I dont even think you have an ICM like the 1.8T/30V engines do to worry about.

What do you mean no engine light? When you turn your key to the ON position (without trying to start) the engine light/CEL should come on along with all the other lights (brake, abs, seat belt), then go off a minute later, or until the engine starts. Either way, get a scanner and give it a try.

You dont ever want to try to pull codes when the engine isrunning.
