I was driving low oil pressure comes on and my rpm guage reads zero rpms...car runs fine had been running at 85 mph for like 20 mins everything stayed cool just had the low oil pressure and the rpm guage thing....even when the rpms read zero the car is running fine and will accellerate and respond to the throttle no problem...what do i do.

oil level is fine
engine stays cool...

why would you drive your car with the oil pressure light on. just cause your engine isnt overheating doesnt mean youre fine. ill let you learn the hard way.

 

Your engine is toast now dumb ***. If the oil light comes on, don't you think you should STOP driving.
You need to have it towed to the shop and have them take off the valve cover and pull a few cam bearing caps, if the wear is bad you just bought a new engine.

 

ummm...your car kept moving but da tack died and da oil pressure light came on?...did the light stay on?...

one time i had it flash and I took it in and for $90 the stealership replaced my oil pressure sensor....besides that...ummm....were you on a flat road....I have heard that if you are on a steep hill either goin uphill or maybe downhill the light may flash on?....iono (I think I may be thinking of another car, not sure)

well i took it in, just had the oil system flushed with that bg ezclean new oil filter and new oil and all is good...so

then again working on peoples cars allday i can understand the dumbass comment :-p can't say it to peoples faces so here would be a good place to do it! but thanks next time i have it in my shop in denver i'll have them look at it. The nearest audi certified place from me is 3 hours away from me, home is 5 or 6 so its not worth going the opposite direction.
