no, but if the timing belt is off, you can get to it easily and replace it. You can replace the wterpump without removing the TB according to the haynes manual, but it is just as much work if not more. So most people change the impellar part of the water-pump while the timing belt is off. If your going to do the t-belt, many kits come with the impellar as well as part of the kit.

On mine (97) , the water pump runs off a belt from the power steering, which is run by the main sepentine belt. The T-belt only only turns the cam and crank
