Hey wondering who may run a adjustable stratmosphere hyperboost or other adjustable dv that is chipped ...

wondering how tight I should adjust the screw down..I think Im loosing too much boost under WOT

I didnt think hyperboost dv's were adjustable?

the top screws adjust the spring tension

dont know how tight to make it...

How is your boost exactly? whats max boost at wot? what does it fall off to? spike to?

well I dont have my boost gauge installed b/c Ive been meaning too but not super solid on the install instructions

anyway .. I feel the extra power of the chip and the boost spikes and feels like a surge then backs off at about 5000 rpm

it kind of feels like a go..stop..go stop..go stop as I hit the throttle

hard to describe..Im gonna put her up on ramps ..take it out and try different stiffness I guess

any thoughts?

yea get a boost guage then tell us you should probably spike about 20ish and hold 17-18

 

I got the hyperboost non-adjustable, why didnt you just do that? cheaper i think too.

 

got a great deal on it ..I think it was 35 on ebay.. figured it was a cool tuner thingy adjustable for different levels...fully serviceable ... blah blah .. I should have gotten just a bailey forge or reg. hyperboost but its what I have and I know its good just need to find its sweet spot

 

Yah, cant be too hard, lol spending a couple minutes figuring it out is worth saving 100 +.
I like mine, especially with the ko4, i get it to twirtle every once in a while as opposed to the pshhh, kinda like it was not returning air, but it is, just sounds good.
