Yea I saw that the other day. The lip is ugly and I don't know how I feel about buying a car that has been in an accident before. I would rather get one with 40k miles that hasnt been totaled once and then total it myself lol.
i bought a 99 a4 (V6) for $12,800, with 74,000 miles on it with brand new tires. You can get good deals out there for your price range but you are probably looking at a higher mileage car then you inteed to buy. Audis are very reliable, but once they start to break down it gets pricey. I got a service at 108,000 miles that will bost me around $900, but after that the dealer said it should run for another 108,000 miles. Come winter and stuff they r good to have. good luck
Let your Audi dealership(s) know! You are within a fair price guideline, in my opinion, although your market may be different than mine.
Considering you're willing to go back a few years, I suspect you have room to make a deal. If you have leeway on colors, options, et cetera your dealership may be happy to earn your business.
By allowing your Audi dealership to try to meet your needs, they may be able to call you when a car comes in on trade. Also, as a younger driver, I'd personally be delighted to get you into an Audi, with the hope you'd become a loyal owner for years and years.
Make sure you talk to the right person--most likely the pre-owned manager. It never hurts to follow up if you're still looking.

p.s. Define your guidelines/specs in writing and you'll have a firmer place to start from, plus they'll have a written request to remind them. You're under no obligation to purchase a car because you suggested you might be willing to buy IF they have the right car at the right price.
Good luck! I hope you get it and love it!
