HELP please!! core support Q

im removing my core support to replace it with a new one from a minor accident but it broke the core support, is it OK if i remove the bumper brackets(dont want airbags going off or anything) what percautions should i take? i have bumper cover and lights removed already

The safest bet is to make sure you have the radio code, disconnect the negative post on the battery and wait 10 minutes to be sure the system has discharged all power. I'm sure you could disconnect the air bag ECU, or you can disconnect impact sensors and air bags without them going off but you still stand the chance of accidental discharge. It only takesone tenth of a volt to discharge a airbag.

Don't worry the airbag won't go off on you. Remove the negative and you're good to go...I've actually forgotten to remove it before and nothing happened.
