HELP!!! SAVE MY AUDI A4 OR BUYBACK WITH THE DEALER?
I'm new here at forum and i want to ask some information regarding my car. I have an Audi A4 Front Trak 1.8T (automatic TIPTRONIC) year 2005 model. I bought it last Nov. 2004. As of now I only have 13,000 miles after more than 2 years. I only use my car everyday in going to work whichhas a distance ofonly 5 kilometersroundtrip. I had my 15,000 miles scheduled maintenance last March2007. After nearly 2 months, the computer of my car says "check oil." I also experienced a burning smell inside my car when I turned on my heater after my maintenance schedule but i just ignored it. Last 3 weeks ago, I also felt a strong vibration while on the road (my car is not moving at that time causeit's redon the traffic lights). I haven't change my timing belt yet since I bought my new car. One thing, after i had my scheduled maintenance with the AUDI dealer wherein I bought my car, after a week, they sent me a letter that they're interested to BUYBACK my car. The reason is, the manufacturer is looking for AUDI models just like my car. Actually, after that, they sent me another letter again this month of May 2007 stating that they're still interested for the BUYBACK.
I'm only more than 1 year awayof paying off my car. My plan before I bought this car is I'll keep it for ten years and maintain it, but with this problem now that I'm experiencing, 'am having doubts if I still wanna keep it. I really love this car!!! But i don't want to shelf out a lot of money for maintenance after the 4 year warranty. Please help me! I also looked at the TSB's of A4 2005 model and I'm pretty sure that my car is one of the candidate for all those kind problems!!!

I'd have someone check out those problems, and if they are going to cost a small fortune to fix, you just might want to take Audi up on their offer.
yeah they do that to everyone - my wife just got one for her Nissan Sentra from the dealer - its called "Hey customer - you bought a car from us we would love to **** you over with its trade in value on a new car" common down.
I highly doubt that Buyback would mean them truly purchasing the vehicle from you, they want you to trade up. They can go to auction and get 100's of A4's off of lease. If you've got a car with a ton of problems keep bringing it in every day if need be and the will fix everything. Never let things just go when you under warranty.

Yea man, think about it. They aren't in the business of buying back their own stuff. They are just trying to get you to trade up. Of course, if you sell your car back to them, you will have to buy another car won't you. And since you bought a new car before and you are at the dealer, it is safe for them to assume that you would buy another brand new car to replace the one you just sold back to them. Unfortunately you will get killed with the price since your car has depreciated and the cars on the lot sell at a premium.
Your under warranty. Any tiny thing that goes wrong, get it back to the dealer immediately and they will fix it for you. Use that warranty to its fullest and when you finally get off warranty your car will be in great shape. Don't fall for this trick, they have no need for your car, only a need to get you back in the showroom.
