Help me save my Audi
I have a 96 A4 2.8 Automatic
My car has been making a clicking sound when I start the car and change into drive or reverse. It only does this after I have not driven the car for a day or more. It is usually in the AM so it is a little colder (I park my car outside).
The clicking stops when I start driving. I don't hear the clicking again until I have left the car alone for a day or more.
I had the CV boot replaced along with both catalytic converters last year (among many other repairs).
If this repair is too expensive I will have to get rid of my car. I love this car and I don't want to drive anything else so please help me figure out what is wrong with it!
Thanks for any help! I appreciate it.

its a common 12v issue, honestly everytone ive talked to tells dont worry about, best thing i can suggest is use a thicker oil or one of those stop leak thing that pretty much thicken up the oil. from the research ive done its just the lifters not having oil on initial startup (ie. not driving for a whiel or cold days when the oil take s few minutes to fully warm up and get through the whole engine.
