Help With System
So I bought a new amp and sub for my car. For my amp I have a Memphis Car Audio 16mcd1500 and for my sub I have a Memphis Car Audio 15" Mojo. Well I want to do a 2 ohm setup since my amp and sub is meant for 2 ohms setup, I believe. Anyhow I was wondering how do I hook my sub and amp up to run at 2 Ohms? I Know this is off topic but I was hoping someone on here knew how to do this or to point me in the right direction... Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!
Off topic yes, but your in luck I am a car audio aficionado. First off, is your sub dual 4 ohm? It has to be otherwise you cannot get a 2 ohm load. Post some specs of the equipment you have and then I can help you from there.
(subwoofer spec's off of memphis web site)
Continuous Power Handling 1000 watts
Maximum Power Handling 2000 watts
Sensitivity (2.83 volts) 92.57 dB
Magnet Size 228 oz.
Mounting Depth 9.4"
Voice Coil Configuration Dual 2 ohm
And the amp is 1500 watts at 2 ohms and 750 at 4 ohms... thanks guys in advance for the help I've been going crazy trying to find out lol.

Well you have a problem there bud... That sub can only be wired to 1 or 4 ohms. So you not going to get the full power out of that amp. The sub is rated for 1000 wrms power handling. So you won't get the full potential out of the Mojo with only 750 wrms going to it. Nice equipment btw, just not made to be used together.

Lol who said it was a 10" sub? He said it was a 15" sub! And just because a sub is only 10 inches doesn't mean it can't handle a lot of power. There are some 10 inch subs that can take 3000+ watts RMS all day long!
