Default HELP w/ Headlights --- PLEASE ---> Tempermental !!! REWARD - $1

Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't.
I know there is an issue with the switch in the column....could that be it, making them work only on certain days?

Short somewhere? Ground coming loose?

Faulty relay??

Anything would help. I can't be out after dark because I never know if my frickin headlights will work!!!!!!
Please Help.
Thanks in advance,

Troy

I don't know jack about your car and I don't want the $1.
But since you're looking for ANY kind of reply, here's probably why you're not getting an answer:

It could be all of the things you listed.
Until someone gets in there and addresses each of the possible issues, there's no way of being certain.

Where do you live? Maybe one of the local guys can help take a look.

I'm aware that it could be ANY of the things I suggested, but I thought SOMEONE might have had similar problems and might be able to save me some time.

I'm in Minneapolis.

ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Troy

I meant that I am aware other people have had issues with their switches in the column, but mine appears to be working properly.

There could be a large number of things that might be the problem, electrical gremlins are one of the most frustrating problems to solve. It takes time, details, and know how to find the solution. If you're not used to electrical wiring then I would suggest finding a shop to help you out. Sometimes it's just a loose cable in front of you and sometimes it's that one harness that's hiding behind the dash that requires taking the entire thing apart to get to it.

try popping the plastic cover off of the drivers side of the dash where it meets the door jam. stick your hand in there and wiggle the wires connected to the headlight switch in the dash and see if the lights filicker. if they do then repair/replace the switch or check the wires to see if they are broken.
