So.... you're 16, you have a Caddy and a Mustang, and now you're looking to get rid of the Caddy, keep the Mustang, and get a usedAudi in the mid $20's, and you make 700/month? Is something wrong with this picture? At 16, I would've been happy with anything- Hell, you haven't even "learned" how to drive yet!

Too often some spoiled kid goes off and kills himself, or worse yet others, because they don't have any road experience and are driving some high priced car their parentsbought them because "they deservedit"-

Sorry to sound like a *****, but kids like you **** me off-
I have a job. Is that so wrong? And I have learned how to drive, been driving since I was 14, on a stick F100. Yeah, no powersteering. And as for killing themselves because no road experience, there's no such thing. People only kill themselves by acting stupid. Road experience means nothing.

And for everyone else, I do believe I've said four damn times that I'm paying for it myself. Does no one read thhrough threads anymore?

When I turned 16, I got arusted 1970 MGB that barely ranbut was glad to have it.
Lol, when i was 14, I got my mustang, barely able torun, front bumper falling off, hole in the hood, tires blank and flat, wasps nests in the interior, and wolf spiders crawling all inside it. Plus there was huge holes inside the hatch. And to top it off, rats nests in the engine bay, now that was nasty. Cleaning that out. *shudder* But, through that all, I had to choice not to get it and get a new 05 Mustang GT, but I got that. And the first thing my mom told me was that I was stupid and I just replied by giving my POS of a car a big hug. I was glad to have it.

And even though, all the hard times it's given us before, things breaking left and right, I still love it. Every other car can get sold, but that one is stayin! STAYING!

Lol, my bad!

I saw this:
Ok, so after much arguing with my mom, I've decided to not get a BMW 540i. My mom's requirements were that the car was 04+ and that it be in the low 20k.

Which sounded like she was paying for it.
Then further down,I see this:
For everyone asking, I'm 16, and I plan on working my *** off. And this leads me to my final question. On average, how much per month would people expect to pay? I can make an easy 500-700 a month but I'd hate to fall short on other things too. Will the Audi leave me with date money?XD

So, I apologize for my mistake. I would guess you'd be around 450-500 month on a 20k plus car, depending on rate, and length of loan.
You may want to look into leasing, might get a better deal.

Here I go....getting into a rebuttal with a 16 year old-

First off, I read the threads. I didn't know people get their driver's licenses at age 14 in Arizona? So, you've been driving in traffic for two years now....that's cool (being sarcastic....)

People act stupid because of not having road experience / maturity. I'm not saying you're not mature for your age, I don't even know you, so that would be unfair to say, but no 16 year old is very mature.

Lastly, you're NOT paying for the car. Do you have 25k in your piggy bank? Do you have credit....and good credit at that? No, your parents are buying the car for you. Maybe you'll kick them some of your 700 bucks, but hey, you need entertainment money, gas money, insurance, etc. Oh,on average, a 25k loan at say 6% would be at least 400 some odd dollars.....AT LEAST- plates, taxes, tires, maintenance, etc. etc........So, again, no you are not paying for the car-

You had a choice between an '87 GT and an '05 GT......must be rough- and oh yea, I agree with your mom, that was stupid

Last time I checked you have to be 18 to be in a legal binding contract (car loan). 16 and having an newer Audi. Man you are not going to appreciate what you have.

Take it from a 22 year old who owns a Mustang and an 03 Audi A4. Your $700 a month will NOT pay for the car, the insurance, the gas and other stuff. I pay $302 a month for the Audi ($17000 car and put 3000 down, not 27000 and I have perfect credit) not to mention the insurance on both cars and the gas they both eat. I had a 5.0 at 15 as well, drove that, then got a jeep, then got a 4cyl beater Mustang, and now that I am out of school got the Audi. You being young will be paying HUGE insurance rates, and a 27K loan will probably come out to $400-450 a month. Add into that the easy $150-200 a month in insurance and your basically broke. Then you need gas money, money to go out, cell phone, whatever you have to pay for.

Sounds like you need to sit down with the parents and look over your financial situation. Worst thing to do is get in over your head, kill your credit and lose your cars because of it.

Everybody knows that he isn't going to be the one paying for his car. If your parents have money and they want to buy you an Audi thats alright. My personal opinion I think they are making a big mistake to give a 16 year old a $27,000 car. But its their money to do with what they want. When my kid gets old enough to drive I will buy him an inexpensive reliable car (honda). BTW a $27,000 loan for 60 months with 6.9% is 533.00 a month. And thats an average interest rate on a used car. (CPO may have better rates if financed through the manufacter)

I love how this place infers everything. Don't even know me but infer a lot. And for the guy who said that "I didn't know they let you start driving at 14 in Arizona" must've not really read the thread because if he did, he would've known I just recently moved to AZ. I used to drive on a little ranch in Texas and Mexico.

And, no where did I say I'm paying insurance and all those other bills. Gas, yes, insurance, no. My dad doesn't even let my mom pay her insurance. Besides, since I'm a straight A student and took this little course, it's relatively low for a 16 year old. Plus, I have USAA which depends on the rank of the soldier on how low their rates will be. My dad was a major.

Entertainment, isn't much for me. I have light fun and I think the only other place my money will be going is an occasional date here or there. And yes, I'll be paying the monthly payments, as I've said over and over. Yeah, it'll be in my parents name but like you said, a 16 year old can't buy a car on their own.

And this rich and brainless stuff is all bullshit. I've researched this and talked to the guy. 23-24k and a possible 7k for my cadillac. Which will leave me with 17k to pay or a little more. I'll be doing it over a five year span.

Please, before any of you respond anymore, get the foot out of your ***. I frankly don't care what you think I'm going to do to the car or something. Generalizing teenagers is stupid and immature. And you guys say you're adults. All of you should be ashamed.
