Hey guys, searched but NEED help!
Alright I'm starting to get pissed, lol. I've got a '97 A4, 1.8TQ, and my parents just got me some one piece angel-eye headlights for Christmas.
Mine are the older two-piece units and every single DIY I find on the internet seems to tailor to the one piece 99.5+ models. I've done much more difficult stuff than this on my previous cars so this is aggravating me lol, I can't figure out how to get the headlights out of the car. Of course I've removed the two top screws on the headlights to the frame of the car right under the hood, but I can't figure out where the third screw is, or if I really just need to be forceful and yank the thing out haha.
I see on the 99.5+ models there's a third screw through the hole in the fender down below one of the little plastic gears that looks like a philips head screwdriver would take it out, but I don't see anything like that on my car.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks a lot guys!

oh haha, guess i should have given you a usefull answer. take out your signal light first. should just be a little tab that you turn/push down on and the signal light will pop right out. Then with those 2 screws out gently push the headlight towards where the signal light was, then it should come right out. that info might be more usefull
That's cool thanks man! I got the corners out but I can't for the life of me get any sort of tool into the area where it needs to be, there's not even enough room to get the little bit in there without hitting the bumper and not being able to go in straight on.
God I hate this friggin car lol.

umm dood...what do you need a tool for? oh wait there is a 3rd screw on the stock headlights. but its not at all hard to get at. if the corners are out its right on the bottom side of the headlight. just use a long hex screwdriver.
