HEY EVERYONE I'M KIRK AND I'M NEW TO THE FORUM. WE'VE HAD A B6 AUDI A4 1.8T QUATTRO FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS NOW. WE BOUGHT IT IN JULY OF 2003 IT WAS USED AND HAD 800 MILES. IT IS FULLY LOADED IT IS MING BLUE PEARL WITH THE BEIGE LEATHER, HAS THE BOSE SYMPHONY SYSTEM, SPORT PACK, ONSTAR AND SO ON. WE BOUGHT IT FOR $19,500, NOT A BAD DEAL. IT WAS SALVAGED THOUGH, FUNNY THING IS IT WAS NEVER HIT THE OWNER COULDN'T PAY THE PAYMENTS SO THE OWNER HID THE CAR AND REPORTED IT STOLLEN, BUT ONCE THEY FOUND THE CAR THEY GAVE IT A SALVAGED TITLE, IT'S PRETTY WIERD. WELL ANYWAYZ NOW IT HAS 63000 MILES AND MY DAD GAVE IT TO ME AS A DAILY DRIVER. IT HAS QUITE A FEW DINGS AND A COUPLE DENTS, DUE TO BAD PARKING LOT. ALSO IT'S DO FOR THE TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMPS SERVICE, AS WELL AS AN OIL CHANGE. THE FUNNY THING IS THAT I'VE ALWAYS DONE THE SERVICE ON TIME, USED SYNTHETIC, AND I HAVE A K&N FILTER AND I'M GETTING 11 SEC. 0-60 TIMES DOWNHILL, I'VE RECENTLY CLEANED THE MAF SENSOR, ALWAYS USED 91 OCTANE AND EVEN USING TIP I'M GETTING THESE TIMES. ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO FIX THESE DENTS AND GET THE CAR BACK TO GREAT RUNNING SHAPE? I'M ALSO PLANNING ON CHIPPING IT ANY SUGGESTIONS? ALSO, I'VE NOTICED THAT BOTH TAILS HAVE THE SLOT FOR REAR FOG LIGHTS ONE WORKS LIKE IT SHOULD AND I KNOW ON GERMAN CARS ONLY ONE WORKS, BUT I WAS WONDERING IF IT'S POSSIBLE TO GET BOTH WORKING, NOT FOR USUAL DRIVING, BUT FOR THE HELL OF IT AND FOR TAIL GATERS, ANYONE COULD GIVE ME INSTRUCTIONS? I'M GOOD WITH MY HANDS SO I'D RATHER DO WHAT I CAN MYSELF. THANX IN ADVANCED ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

 

Hey, well, i got both of my fog lights working. But only one is supposed to be lighting up, so nothing is wrong there. If you want to make it so both light up i can give u a very detailed DIY(via email)that i made, but to worn you, the right side isnt as bright as the left, only noticable at night time though.

Hey 98jeep5nine i was wondering, do u have ur car chipped cause i saw GIAC i figured it was, anyways if u do may u tell me what u think and how much it costs, as well as how u like the exhausts?

 

i love it the GIAC. i bought it with it already on the car but i think its around 375? (if anyone can back me up that'd be great since i dont really know)

thanx i'd really like to hear the difference of stock and aftermarket. it's already pretty loud, but it doesn'thave that natural feel to it.

 

anyone have any idea as to why instead of getting the usual 8.5 sec to 60 i'm getting 11.3 going downhill?
