Okay so I have a 99.5 A4 1.8t ... I am looking to buy the HID conversion Kit... NOT THE BULBS. What i would like to know is what size should i get so i dont have to cut anything for fitment? I hear H7 you will have to cut to make fit. On visionbulb it says Lowbeam HID-D2S for HID and replace Halogen is H7....
So is it the H7 conversion i need or D2S ?
Has anyone done the TRUE HID conversion kit install?

ok you will need the whole kit bulbs and balasts if you are gonna use you factory headlights. If you get some s4 hid ecodes headlights (not cheap) and already have the D2S bulbs for them then all you will need is a compatible ballasts to power them. Best bet for you get a full conversion kit and use your factory headlights the install isn't to hard just finding a place to mount he ballast sucks!

 

yo my man honestly i got mine off of ebay for about 130 after shipping...and they work great, just make sure whoever u get it from is a major seller and has done HID's b4, they r all pretty coool bout it, just make sure u have the ballasts or w..e they r called..most r just plug n' play i guess, but yea h7's no cutting needed, for the intensity if u want purple go with the 12K bulbs, i myself have 10K's cuz they r the best u can get b4 going purple, however the hight u go up, the less brightness u get, 6K gives u the most light..hope i helped email me if u have any other questions
