HID Foglights and HID Headlights
So I purchases two kits form our Sponser Visionbulbs.com a H11 Kit and a H7 kit.
The install on the headlights, H7, is a simple plug and play correct? If not can someone point me to a reputable guide geared towards a B6 A4?
On the foglights I found a guide for a B5 A4 and was wondering if I can use the same thing for my B6; is it really necessary to drill out the old connection? Guide I found is here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothrea...91120#24291120
Thank you,
-Alan

The headlights should be plug and play as you said. The fogs, i would assume are just like that DIY you got there. You will probably need to cut the back out, because you need to put the rubber gromet in there.
Well, I don't know what the back of the B6 housing looks like, but I would assume that you'll have to drill through the dust cover in order to fit the new wiring. You'll probably be able to tell pretty quickly by taking a peek.
Here's a B5 DIY. I don't know if you've seen it, but maybe it'll help.

Whoever wrote this DIY is dumb though because those headlights have a pop out slot under the ballast carrier for the wiring...and they drilled anyway. Well, whatever. Good luck with yours.

you will have to drill throught the dust cover for the headlights. It says a 23mm hole. I used a 3/4 inch(19mm) and a dremel and it worked fine. the hardest part of the install is finding where to put the ballast
