Default HID headlights AND HID (amber) in fogs - anyone done it?????

Was curious if anyone has ever put regular HID (8000k) in their headlights and then put the HID (Amber - 2000k?) in the fog lights? Does it look good? Too bright? Problems?

I bet it wouldn't look good because you have different color temps going on. I don't know about you but I like mine to look the same.

So you say just leave the stock bulbs in the fog lights?

You got any pics of yours at night?

If you place the same color bulbs in your fog lights as those in your headlights you will defeat the purpose of the fog lights... to light up properly in fog. They are supposed to be a lower color temperature to minimize the glare in reflective fog. It is all personal preference.

I can take you some pics of this tonight if you want to see how it looks. The OEM bulbs in the fogs, plus HIDs in the low beams, makes the fogs look pretty jaundiced. I have 6000k HIDs, BTW. I'll get a couple pics in an hour or so when it starts to get dark and will post them for you. It doesn't look bad, but it'll look better when my matching 6000k HIDs arrive for the fogs

I like HID headlights and yellow foglights but not too bright on the fogs.

Kind of the Lexus look from a few years back - it can look good if done right (like Lexus did). Personally, I like the look of having the same color in all four lamps. Plus, I am interested in maximum visibility, so HIDs are going in the fogs to match my headlights.

Flip -

I'm with you on the HID headlights and yellow fogs ... just looks good IMO.

UpstateNYA4 -

You hit the nail on the head ... I was about to reply back that the look is similar to a Lexus GS400 a few years back. That was one of the few things that Lexus had going for them.

Who knows though ... you may change my opinion when I see 6000ks in the headlights and fogs.
