I have 136,000 Miles on my car, is it worth upgrading and fixing up? I'm planning to go BT. so i'm wondering if it's a good idea or a bad idea.

did some searching and someone has a bt setup with 150,000.

 

if common maintanence has been done and car has been taken care of then there is no reason why you couldn't do it. Are engines (if well maintained) are gonna last a long time. I am planning on getting a bt kit in early January and i have 112k.

 

jsut get a turbo worth installing new rods for. Then when installing them, hone the cylinders and install new rings. That will restore your compression and everything should be good.

my a4 has 184k miles on it, and I'll continue to upgrade items as time goes on. this weekend i Just wrapped up a short shifter and vvme HIDs. granted it's a toy car for me, but all things consitered, make the car your own... just don't plan on getting any return from your investment.
