Default high milage..worth it?

hi, i have an 2000 a4 1.8tqm with 147k on the dash...i just sold my 1999.5 2.8qm with 165k b/c i wanted an a4 that was easier to mod...but would it be worth it to put money into the car with 147k miles? I would plan on chip, intake, exhaust, ssk, suspension, and more as well as exterior work (with cash permitting obviously lol)..thanks!

as long as you take care of it and don't beat on it nonstop, you should be ok. does it run strong now? as long as the chassis is clean-ish i would say go for it.

yea it runs nicely, but the guy before me only ran regular gas (i always put 93). idk if that makes a difference...and also, the temp gauge is off. what could that be? in my 2.8 it was merely a 35 dollar piece that i replaced myself...is it different in the turbo?

water temp or oil temp? if its the water then the coolant temp sensor still might be the ticket.
