i hit 120,000 miles and was wondering what, if any, maintance was "required" for that mileage?

Timing belt etc.. plugs filters, oil ummm you should be able to refer to your owners manual...

What year and engine do you have?

He has a 1.8T. Save your money for repairs like,
tie rod ends, MAF, steering rack and control arm bushings.

Definitely get your timing belt changed... this should've been taken care of at 80-90k. If your TB snaps, you'll be out alot of $ for repairs.

most people get it done at 60k intervals
