Default HKS SSQ on 1.8t's??

ive seen multiple pics of stock(k03) 1.8t's with a stock DV, AND a SSQ right before the throttle body..

they have stock intercoolers but they put in a new pipe from the Throttle body to the intercooler with a SSQ mounted on...

is this bad for the car, will it harm it and will it work?

whats your view on this

i've never heard of that being done but if i were you i would just use the system the way audi intended it to be. either use a dv or a recirculated bov. end

All you need is the ssqv (REAL ONLY PLEASE) with the 1" adapter and you are fine. The sound of the HKS gets annoying fast and most get rid of it very quickly after install. I run a Forge 004 (sold at ecstuning) and it works perfect and sounds far better than the ssqv. Dont let people tell you that you cant run a BOV, i do and so do many others. If you use either of the 2 i listed you wont have any problems.

why would they run a BOV on the intake hose before the throttle body? Did I read that right? Do you have a picture of this set up?

ya the best place for a dv or bov is 6" from the throttle body. i dont understand the purpose or running both at the same time. post some links or pics, i have never heard of this on a4's and i have been around a lot of them

People with very large turbos run dual setups, but i think he didnt realize that the stock unit was removed. Just of the TB FTW!!

All the bov's will come with a plug you put in the hose going back to the intake and then install the bov on the ic piping.
