Default Hmmmm...need help with boost question!

well i got my car chipped today and iv been loving it.... i have a 2002 B6 1.8T Tip.... now my boost hasnt peaked or even spiked over 15 PSI and holds at a steady 12PSI ... it feels a lot faster of course, but im not getting these PSI rating you guys are like spiking at 18PSI... oh and im still on my stock dv... im putting the forge in next week... does the dv have something to do with it? could it be causing me to lose boost b/c it cant hold the boost? or is my car in limp mode? or is my guage wrong and im really boosting upwards of 15... while in gear my vac is around 10 and while in neutral my vac is around 20... sound alright?

or could my ecu be adapting and it will eventually spike around 18

thanks

yea stock dv cant handle the boost that chips give you, and it is deffinately still adapting. Give it a few weeks to fully adapt and get the forge in asap. welcome to the forums.. What chip did you get?

its probably more the fact that its adapting, the first day i got chipped my boost/performance was all over the place. Do the forge tomorrow if you can, the stock dv can fail real real quick after getting chipped. Most people do it before they get chipped, or should anyway.
