Check and make sure that your garage door opener doesn't require that you press a "program" button or something of that sort before you try to program it with your homelink.

I'm in the same boat man. My home link doesn't work for some reason. My garage has a program button that you push and then it gives you 30 seconds to program the homelink and it didn't work.

Did you have someone help you with pressing the program buttom? Maybe you're running out of time if you're trying to do it by yourself?

i just programmed mine a few days ago. it would be called the 'learn' Button on your garage door motor. Some garages require that you press your homelink button up to 3 times in that 30 seconds, read your garage motor manual. also make sure you are pressing all the right buttons etc.

Mine works fine with 2 seperate garages and the front gate of my community. The garages needed to 'learn' the homelink system, and in my case the 'learn' button is hidden inside the motor light encasement.

Mine didn't work either... Which I kind of figured, seeming as I saw an imprint on the driver's side visor where the previous owner had their garage door opener. I seriously cannot figure it out.

I had a hell of a time getting it programmed. Turned out the openers had rolling codes - used a combination of instructions on the opener (yep, there was a "learn" button) and instructions I got from homelink.com. See previous discussion on this topic for more info.
