exactly, i'm not looking for a huge scoop, just a vent to get cold air to the engine without drilling holes in my wheel well for the airbox mod.

I hear ya. Thats why I got an intake and I plan on doing the same thing, getting a hood that will vent out hot air and bring outside air stright to my intake. We are on the same page if people can't understand what you actually are looking to achieve then they must really be missing something.

your worried about drilling holes in your wheel well... but have no whims about cutting a hole in your hood ?

it's not that i'm drilling holes in my car that is stopping me, it's the fact that there is a lot of nasty **** flying around in those wheel wells, i do drive on dirt roads since i live in New Hampshire and we also get a lot of snow and pulling air from this location just doesn't seem to make since aside from just being a convenient easy way to get more air to the engine. I would worry about sucking crap in every time i drove my car. I would be more likely to run a second intake hose down to my fog light and pull air from there rather then the wheel well. I'm still very interested in some sort of hood mod though, it may be more pricey but seems to be the best way to accomplish what i want to get out of it.

The S4 wheel wells have a small finned air vent, i have seen people cut the vent from a S4 liner and mount just the vent into their wheel liner with pop rivets since it's position on the liner does not line up with the airbox. . This vent on the S4 is not used an a intake to the airbox from what i have heard, it's just a vent.

busted, none of those have a vent/intake where i need it (or at all for that matter), they are just straight CF.
the Titanium CF is kinda hot tho.
