I know...I think that it is prolly the best looking induction hood for the car...I read his post, and I think that I'd rather save my pennies then to cut a hole in my hood and attempt to makeshift a diy deal, ionno

either way, I just wanted to say that if he wants the hood, he should save his pennies rather that cutting his stock hood, but that is obviously my opinion, sorry that I wasn't clear...

I would get a aftermarket hood if i could find one to fit my needs. So far this is the ONLY B6 hood that i have seen that has any sort of intake. other then this hood every other one that has been sujusted or that i have found searching has been just carbon fiber without an intake (purpous of doing this) or for a B5..... people seem to like to ignore the fact that i have a B6. p://www.shop.com/op/~VIS_Racing_Carbon_Fiber_Hoods_Euro_R_Style_-prod-31205413
So the search goes on. I got other things to take care of in the meantime anyway.

I have an idea.

Run your CAI into your fender. Then get some of those "fender flare" vent things, cut your fender up, put those on. That way you are drawing air ONLY from the outside in. I think some bloke did this to an M3. It should work hella well.

hey Cris,

im Reuben. I have a 2003 AUDI A4 1.8T and was thinking of chipping it out.
You have yours chppied, right? What kind, GIAC? How much? And do you
think chipping/flashing the car is bad in the long run? Some say i will need to
change other parts because i will have more power than car was intended for.
Like changing Axels and so on. WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME? Im new at this stuff.

Thanks for your help man,
REUBEN

Though I am not Chris, here are your answers:

Chipping is fine, just replace your DV (diverter valve), the chip costs about $500, Axels won't need to be changed unless you were in a car accident or putting out over 300whp.

Please use the search function.
