How come some of the hoses are rubber while others are like thread like covering rubber? Im changing my vacuum hoses. Thanks. 2001 2.8QM

Hmm, the non covered one's... any chance they have already been replaced?
You can buy the fabric covered hose from ecstuning I think, for a hell of a lot cheaper than the dealer sells it for!

But do I need fabric covered hoses for any particular reason or will regular rubber hose work just fine?
