i was reading earlier that the 170 hp a4 have a k03 turbine and a k04 compressor anyone know if this is true or what not?
THat would make the turbo an e-05 if im not mistakin

170hp has a k03s(sport) not sure if this used anything from the k04
You could definatly email that question or call g-pop since they rebuild them, they should know

ok - found your information - kinda misunderstood your question sorry this thread got sidetracked
this information is in reference to the timing belt change and was found on ECStuning as a break between their two kits they have available for the 2001 model year
early VIN on the AMW engine split in middle of 2001
Early Vin would be prior to/and including VIN #8d 1 042 384
Late Vin would be after/and includingVIN #8d 1 042 385
