how do i know if my tranny is going bad ?

how do i know if my tranny or clutch is going bad ? any input is welcome ... what do they cost

haha well i know if your rpms are going high and your not moving very fast.. then theres something wrong... def did that in a GMC Sonoma.... but i think for tranny maybe if its hard to get into a gear?... but i think you would know if something was going bad.. you can tell.

my truck when the clutch was gone it would rev to like 3500 befor it started to move.. another test they do to see if your clutch is gone is they put on your parking brake then put it in reverse and see if the car moves/jerks and if it dont then..... yeah

to test your clutch

going 30 mph (2nd or 3rd gear) put it into fifth and floor it.

if your speed dosent pick up but your tack is moveing up your clutch is tost. spec mine was $419 i think

if your tranny is shot you will here a kind of grinding in one or more gears. $995 at junk yard is what i paid junk yard

install for both was $600
