I'm sure it does just fine if it is painted properly.

im doing mine as soon as the weather holds up. i have heard that after 2 years they start to break donw and get chips but taht was for the spray can guys, i am going to spray mine with a gun and use dupont paint and clear coat it. also you need to fill all the little bumps in the front and rear valence with a primer for it to match good

clear coat is probably a good idea

do you need to fill them in to give it a smooth appearance?

ya most shops wanted $400-600, they took 3 days but it came out really good, I am going to change my rieger front lip because of to much scraping it has moved the lip around in two spots, so the guy said when I get the new lip he will do it for $50 along with the s4 door blades that I will be getting shortly, but a great job for $240, if I was to do it myself it was going to cost $180 for paint and supplies.

I actually just had mine painted last Friday. Cost me $200 (50 each side). The guy who i had do it did an amazing job. He sanded them down first, primed it, painted them, then clear coated it. But if your going to try and DIY, you MUST buy plastic bond so the paint actually sticks to the plastic AND u also have to mix in another bonding agent that allows the paint some flexibility (forgot what its called) while it stays on the plastic. This way with weather like high heat and freezing temps, you'll be alright.

Verdict:

Anyone with a silver B5 should do this. Its honestly unbelievable how nice it makes your car look.

a clear flex coat of special plastic clear primer is required otherwise it will shatter
