How do you drive your A4?
i have a 97 1.8tqm with 205k on it now, orig turbo, original clutch, and i drive it hard
take good care of it, cooling down (for the 1.8t's), good synthetic oil minimum of every 5k, and keep up with maintinence and only use the best parts and it will be fine.

As long as your engine has cooling and lubrication, you have nothing to worry about, but;
- It's generally a good idea to wait with the "hard" driving until the engine has normal running temperature.
- Same when stopping after driving "hard". Let the engine idle for a few minutes to cool off, or just take it easy the last miles of your trip. This is especially important for turbo engines.

yes mee to, but my moms was in the car with me one day and she was like oh gas is expensive now a days, so i TRY and take it easy =) for gas sake
You talking about the full auto? Or tiptronic? Cause the tiptronic is pretty hurtin... can't handle anymore than 250 hp...
As for the stock clutch at 200K comment... our clutches are awesome! My dads 12V had 208 000 km on it, and the clutch felt like it could go another 200 no problem. It was great! My dads old 1990 VW passat held its original clutch until about 330 000 km... and we changed it just because we were in there... it didnt need it.
