Default How do you replace the rear brake lights?

Never thought I would be asking this but just now I have to replace one of the rear brake/stop lights and the Owners Manual basically says "see the dealer "- WTF?

I have a 2001 A4 1.8T Avant -5sp-Sport Suspension and I am not a totaly helpless.

Any help/guidance is really appreciated.

Merry Xtmas everyone!

Thank you very much for the link but I didn't find anything specific to my problem.

All I want to do is replace the bulb(s) without having to go to the stealer.

Go into your trunk. On the left and right side are flimsy panels you can pull back to see the headlight boards. There's 2 clips for each side (for my B5).

Undo the clip and pull the board out.
You'll now see 2-3 bulbs lying in the circuit board.
Twist one counter-clockwise and pull it out. Do the reverse with the new bulb.
