Hey guys I am still debating weather to get an a4 or not. If i do I am sure it will be the 1.8t quattro. Anyways I am really anxious to hear what some of your 1/4 mile times are just to get an idea of how fast they are or can be made. Also If you list what performance mods you have done to it that would be great. Thanks!

 

i belive you can get into the 13 with a modded 1.8......ive been to the strip and got a 16.4..but i have a 2.8 12v.. that same night a s4 got mid 12's and s4 avant got 12.96</P>

our cars are not great 1/4 mile cars they are better on the track</P>

 

i have a 98 2.8 q supercharged and im hitting 13.6

 

depends what you get, quattro or fwd, you said that you want quattro so that will be a little bit (around a second) slower than fwd on the strip but you get quattro. also depends what year you are getting, some 1.8Ts are weaker than others. I think the bumped the horsepower in 2001. Before that it was 150HP/155lb/sqft. i think the new one is around 170 HP.

 

yeah from what i have been reading i think i want to get a 97 or 98. quattro is for sure because i would rather have the safety in the winter after spinning out this winter while i was going straight. i will also for sure get the chip because thats one of the best upgrades for the money i have seen.

best mod u can get is a performance driving school, shouldnt be more than $300, i'm going this summer.

 

ok- if u are unceratain to get an A4, do it, then get the ecu upgraded... This is why, recently i have raced a Svt contour, beat it off the line, and in top speed. Also have beaten the v6 gt tiburon. And the last race i had was on a roll on, i kept side by side with the dodge hemi, the new ones... so getting an A4 is a good idea.</P>
