How to intall live feed from battery to trunk?
Hi, I have a 1999 (march) A4 1.9 TDi. And I would like to install a sub in the trunk. The battery is located under the window at the passenger side, How would I route the cables to the inside of the car, then through to the trunk??
Is there anything I need to look out for when disconnecting the battery??
Any help would be great, apoligies if this has been covered before, this is my first post

The best way is to run the power wire through the ECU box. If you open up the black box on the left hand side of the hood (drivers side in the US) you'll see a big rubber grommet. If you pass your power lead through that and down with the wire bundle it will come out by the drivers foot area. From there it is best to run the wire under the kick plates in the door sills. Doing that is really really easy it only took me like 5 minutes to push the wire up underneath. Make sure you have your radio theft code if you disconnect the battery.

Thanks, I'll have a look for it. Wont the current from the live wire disrupt the sensitive ECU wiring though??

You won't have any trouble as long as you have the right connections and fuses. Make sure you install a good fuse for whatever job you are doing.
FYI running amp wires is a pain in the a$$. If you don't know anything about stereo's i recommend getting the help of someone who does so you can watch and learn..... so you don't mess anything up. I've installed tons of systems and I'm glad i watched someone frst cause there's alot of details you need to know about first, and you wont know them just by looking at it.
You don't need to pay anyone, jsut find a friend nearby or somehting that has done it before.

It's pretty easy on an Audi. Once you remove the ECU cover it's fairly obvious what needs to be done.
I wouln't think a constant DC line can induce interference in adjacent wires.

Ok, ran the cables to just the rear seats, how the hell do i get it though to the trunk?? I popped off the rear seat bottom, and i need tools to take the backs off, do i need to find a route though this way, or is there an easier way????
