For a year 2002 Audi A4 Quarttro 3.0, V6, about how many quart of oil do I need for a oil change and filter change?

I'm using mobil 1 0w-49, and mann filter.

 

6.3 quarts

 

the person in front of me is correct. U can pour almost 6 liters on the thing (6.3 qts), but only fill until the last 1/2 qt, then check the level. Engine will missfire if too much oil is used - do not overfill!!

 

3.0 liters are noisy on startup right after an oil change. It will make alot of noise for a second or two after startup. Dont worry about it its normal.

 

Just a suggestion if you're really picky about your car: Check out Amsoil or Cosworth Oil. Not always easy to find but it's what the pros use.

 

WHat oil type to you reccomend??

 

While we're on the subject and I am reminded, how much oil do you use for the 2.8L V6? And is a fram filter with Castrol High Mileage ok to use? Or should I spend the extra buck and buy
a. K&N oil filter
and/or
b. synthetic oil (Mobil 1)?
Keeping in mind I'm meticulous about my car and I'm not worried about how long each oil change lasts.

Also, should I use RESTORE with the oil change and fuel injector cleaner everytime? ...I just bought my A4 and don't want to Eff anything up..

 

Stick to a Mann or Mahle oil filter and get the oversized version.

Use synthetic oil. Mobil 1 is good, Royal Purple and Amsoil are rumored to be the very best.

Use quality 91+ octane fuel and you won't need injector cleaner.

 

I've never heard of Mann or Mahle...where do you get these? Not in my local autozone.
