How To Remove Aluminium Shifter Trim
Hello Everybody,
I am trying to do a clean install of the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play that I received yesterday, and I would like to run the cables from my ashtry area, under the aluminium shift trim, down the right side near the passenger feet, and into the glove box. Before I start pulling away at the trim, I have a few questions, and I would really appreciate any insights that you may have:
1. How does the aluminium trim come off? Can I just pull it up?
2. Is there room under there to run the cables?
3. Does the area under the trim connect to the plastic trim that goes down by the passenger's left foot?
Below is a photo of the current install (nasty, I know, but temporary).
Thanks in advance!
